Cynthia Strouss is uniquely qualified
to help you with all of your wealth
preservation needs. She graduated from
Seattle University, where she majored
in accounting and earned a B.A. in
Business Administration. In 1994, she was licensed
as a Certified Public Accountant by the Washington
State Board of Accountancy, and received her Juris
Doctor (J.D.) from Seattle University School of Law in
1997. She then attended the University of Washington
School of Law, obtaining a Masters of Law (LL.M) in
Federal Taxation in 1999. Cynthia is also a member
of WealthCounsel, a national organization of estate
planning attorneys and other professionals in
related disciplines.
Before founding Advisors Alliance Group, PLLC
Cynthia gained practical, real-world experience in a
number of ways. She began her career as an accountant
for a multi-family real estate developer and builder;
was part of the Founders Team for a Commercial
Construction Company, a Real Estate Brokerage
company, and a Financial Services Company; worked
in the Tax Department of two International Accounting
Firms, KPMG and PriceWaterhouseCoopers; and was an
Associate Attorney for a local Tax Controversy and Tax
Planning firm.
Cynthia is admitted to practice law before the
Supreme Court of the State of Washington; the U.S.
District Court of the Western District of Washington;
the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; U.S. Tax
Court; and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She
also has an “of counsel” relationship with a highly
respected attorney in the state of Nevada. This,
together with her years of experience in real estate,
proves particularly beneficial for her clients with
property in more than one state.
Cynthia is the President of the American Association
of Attorney Certified Public Accountants for the
year 2006-2007 (she is the first female President
in the AAA-CPA’s history). Founded in 1964, the
AAA-CPA is the only association in the nation
whose members are comprised of professionals
dually qualified as both attorneys and certified public
accountants. She is a lifelong resident of the Puget
Sound area, a third generation Pacific Northwest
native, and comes from a family of entrepreneurs.
She is active in a local church, the City Church of
Kirkland, and serves on the Board
of Directors for a local Charitable
Foundation. Additionally, she serves on
the Board of Directors of several forprofit
corporations.
